The Full Story
My purpose
While taking time to do some inner reflection during the pandemic I realized my true purpose in this world; to help those in distress find harmony in their lives again.
Mission
In my year of reflecting due to the pandemic, I would often look back on my job as a Ropes Course Instructor for my local YMCA. I would go above and beyond for that job, usually staying later, picking up extra shifts, and even facilitating overnights on the weekends. I realized pretty quickly that my passion was to help people step out of their comfort zones and achieve their dreams.

I pretty much enjoyed every day at the YMCA. Whether it was guiding a large team-building exercise or working with kids of all ages, I loved taking on a leadership role within the camp and took that commitment very seriously.

This is ultimately why I wanted to go back to school to get my Master's in Counseling Psychology so I could find that inner passion again and help those in need figure out how to navigate difficult situations and issues within their lives.

Looking back on my summer YMCA job it taught me so much about my inherent ability to want to help others. I hope I can help as many people who have helped me along my life journey and who have shaped me into the person I am today.
